This study aims to analyze the influence of self-confidence on social interaction within the Lops Ment community. A quantitative method was used with a population of 190 members and a sample of 87 respondents, selected through purposive sampling. The results show a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and social interaction, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.687 and a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This indicates that higher levels of selfconfidence are associated with higher levels of social interaction. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.471, meaning that self-confidence contributes 47.1% to social interaction, while the remaining 52.9% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Based on the comparison between hypothetical and empirical means, both self-confidence (hypothetical mean = 67.5; empirical mean = 63.74; SD = 7.269) and social interaction (hypothetical mean = 75; empirical mean = 70.28; SD = 6.474) fall into the moderate category. In conclusion, selfconfidence significantly affects social interaction among members of the Lops Ment community. |
