| Abstract: | Penggunaan plastik mulsa pada pertanian hortikultura bermanfaat untuk mengendalikan gulma-gulma, menjaga kelembaban tanah dan peningkatan hasil panen. Namun, proses melubangi plastik mulsa sekarang ini masih dilakukan secara manual atau konvesional dengan alat sederhana sehingga memerlukan waktu yang lama, tenaga dan kurang efesien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji prototipe otomatis perforator plastik mulsa pada bedengan pertanian hortikultura. Prototipe ini dirancang untuk dapat melubangi plastik mulsa dengan cepat dan efisien. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe perforator ini mampu melubangi plastik mulsa pada suhu minimum 400 C dengan hasil yang sempurna. Prototipe ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas dalam penggunaan plastik mulsa pada pertanian hortikultura. The use of mulch plastic in horticultural agriculture is beneficial for controlling weeds, maintaining soil moisture, and increasing crop yields. However, the process of perforating mulch plastic is currently still done manually or conventionally with simple tools, which requires a long time, labor, and is less efficient. This research aims to design and test an automatic mulch plastic perforator prototype for horticultural farming beds. This prototype is designed to perforate mulch plastic quickly and efficiently. The test results show that this perforator prototype can perforate mulch plastic at a minimum temperature of 400 C with perfect results. This prototype can increase efficiency and productivity in the use of mulch plastic in horticultural farming. |
