dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku agresif verbal pada siswa SMP Budi Murni 1 Medan. Perilaku agresif verbal didefinisikan sebagai tindakan yang bertujuan menyakiti orang lain melalui kata-kata, seperti ejekan, penghinaan, atau ancaman. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 244 siswa kelas VII dan VIII, dengan sampel sebanyak 89 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Perilaku agresif verbal diukur berdasarkan aspek yang dijelaskan oleh Sari dan Yulianti (2021), meliputi makian dan umpatan, ejekan, celaan dan penghinaan, ancaman verbal atau intimidasi, fitnah dan penyebaran gosip, serta penolakan verbal dan sikap dingin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 35% (31 siswa) berada pada kategori sedang, 65% (58 siswa) berada pada kategori tinggi, dan tidak ada siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Aspek yang paling dominan adalah fitnah dan penyebaran gosip (30%), diikuti oleh makian dan umpatan (22%), penolakan verbal dan sikap dingin (18%), ejekan, celaan dan penghinaan (17%), serta ancaman verbal atau intimidasi (13%). This study aims to describe verbal aggressive behavior among students at Budi Murni 1 Junior High School, Medan. Verbal aggressive behavior is defined as actions intended to harm others through words, such as teasing, insulting, or threatening. The research population consisted of 244 students from grades VII and VIII, with a sample of 89 students selected using a total sampling technique. Verbal aggressive behavior in this study was measured based on aspects described by Sari and Yulianti (2021), which include swearing and cursing, teasing, criticizing and insulting, verbal threats or intimidation, slander and gossip spreading, as well as verbal rejection and cold treatment. This study employed a descriptive quantitative research method. The results indicated that 35% (31 students) fell into the moderate category, while 65% (58 students) were in the high category, and none fell into the low category. Furthermore, the most dominant aspect was slander and gossip spreading (30%), followed by swearing and cursing (22%), verbal rejection and cold treatment (18%), teasing, criticizing, and insulting (17%), and verbal threats or intimidation (13%).en_US
