Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the key pillars of Indonesia’s economy, including in Langkat Regency, which has significant potential in the culinary sector. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in 2024, there were 14.039 MSME units in Langkat, with 12.333 engaged in culinary businesses. The large number of culinary MSMEs highlights the need for a facility that can accommodate production, education, and promotion activities in an integrated manner. This design research aims to develop a Culinary Tourism Center Based on MSMEs in Langkat Regency through a neo-vernacular architectural approach, thereby strengthening local identity while addressing the commercial, educational, and social space needs of the community. The design methodology involves collecting primary and secondary data, site analysis, space requirement analysis, and comparative studies of similar buildings. The final design concept produces a culinary tourism center that integrates commercial, educational, recreational, and cultural preservation functions through the application of Malay Langkat architectural elements, such as the gabled roof (bubungan), teban layar, and the “hanging bee” ornament, combined with modern construction and materials. This culinary tourism center is expected to become a new icon for Langkat Regency, support the sustainability of culinary MSMEs, enhance tourism attractiveness, and strengthen local cultural identity.en_US
