| dc.description.abstract | Daerah Aliran Sungai Wampu (DAS Wampu) di Provinsi Sumatera Utara memainkan peran penting dalam menyediakan air untuk pertanian, penggunaan domestik, industri, dan ekosistem. Namun, pertumbuhan penduduk, perubahan penggunaan lahan, dan variabilitas iklim telah menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan antara ketersediaan dan permintaan air selama musim-musim tertentu. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ketersediaan dan permintaan air di Daerah Aliran Sungai Wampu dan mengembangkan skenario alokasi air yang optimal. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis spasial dan temporal. Data yang dianalisis meliputi curah hujan, evapotranspirasi, debit sungai, dan permintaan air sektoral (pertanian, domestik, dan industri) dari tahun 2013 hingga 2023. Metode Poligon Thiessen digunakan untuk memperkirakan curah hujan rata-rata, evapotranspirasi dihitung menggunakan metode Penman-Monteith, sedangkan permintaan air pertanian dihitung dengan perangkat lunak CROPWAT. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pertanian menyumbang permintaan air terbesar, dengan total 18,49 juta m3/tahun. Di sektor industri, PT. Global Green Energy (PLTM) adalah pengguna utama, dengan rata-rata 98,4 juta m3/tahun. Analisis neraca air mengungkapkan surplus selama musim hujan tetapi defisit pada musim kemarau karena fluktuasi curah hujan dan evapotranspirasi yang tinggi. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengelolaan air di Daerah Aliran Sungai Wampu membutuhkan strategi alokasi berbasis prioritas, dengan memprioritaskan kebutuhan domestik, pertanian pangan, dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Rekomendasinya meliputi penerapan teknologi hemat air, pengembangan infrastruktur penyimpanan, dan pemantauan ketersediaan air secara terus menerus. The Wampu Watershed (DAS Wampu) in North Sumatra Province plays an essential role in providing water for agriculture, domestic use, industry, and ecosystems. However, population growth, land use changes, and climate variability have caused imbalances between water availability and demand during certain seasons. This study aims to analyze water availability and demand in the Wampu Watershed and to develop optimal water allocation scenarios. The research applied a quantitative descriptive approach with spatial and temporal analysis. Data analyzed included rainfall, evapotranspiration, river discharge, and sectoral water demand (agriculture, domestic, and industry) from 2013 to 2023. The Thiessen Polygon method was used to estimate average rainfall, evapotranspiration was calculated using the Penman-Monteith method, while agricultural water demand was computed with CROPWAT software. The results indicate that agriculture accounted for the largest water demand, totaling 18.49 million m3/year. In the industrial sector, PT. Global Green Energy (PLTM) was the main user, with an average of 98.4 million m3/year. The water balance analysis revealed a surplus during the rainy season but a deficit in the dry season due to fluctuating rainfall and high evapotranspiration. This study concludes that water management in the Wampu Watershed requires a priority-based allocation strategy, prioritizing domestic needs, food agriculture, and environmental sustainability. Recommendations include applying water-saving technologies, developing storage infrastructure, and continuous monitoring of water availability. | en_US |
