| dc.description.abstract | Injection molding adalah proses pembentukan produk berbahan dasar plastik dengan bentuk dan ukuran tertentu melalui perlakuan panas serta tekanan dengan bantuan cetakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sejauh mana pengaruh variasi suhu cetakan terhadap kualitas permukaan produk, kecepatan injeksi, dan durasi pendinginan material. Fokus utama diarahkan pada potensi cacat yang timbul selama proses produksi, adapun masalah pada judul penelitian ini antara lain yaitu, membandingkan antara kualitas bahan setelah diinject dengan perlakuan panas terhadap bahan dan menganalisis kekuatan material polimer dengan menggunakan alat surface roughness tester. Untuk membahas hal ini digunakan acuan teori dari berbagai jurnal dan karya ilmiah. Data-data dikumpulkan melalui sofwer dan pengujian menggunakan software microsoft excel dan pengujian menggunakan mesin injection molding vertikal dan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Sehingga tujuan pada penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai kekerasan material polimer. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini nilai kekasaran permukaan (Ra) diketahui pada suhu 260°C dengan waktu inject 1 menit sebesar 4,2 μm, dengan waktu 2 menit sebesar 4,1 μm, dan 3 menit sebesar 3,9 μm, dan pada suhu 280°C dengan waktu inject 1 menit sebesar 3,2 μm, dengan waktu 2 menit sebesar 3,3 μm, dan 3 menit sebesar 3,5 μm dan pada suhu 300°C dengan waktu inject 1 menit sebesar 2,5 μm, dengan waktu 2 menit sebesar 3,4 μm, dan 3 menit sebesar 2,3 μm sehingga dapat disimpulkan peningkatan suhu cetakan terbukti berkontribusi pada kualitas permukaan yang lebih halus, namun perlu mempertimbangkan efisiensi waktu pendinginan serta umur cetakan. Injection molding is the process of forming plastic-based products of a certain shape and size through heat and pressure treatment with the help of molds. This study aims to identify the extent to which mold temperature variations affect product surface quality, injection speed, and material cooling duration. The main focus is directed to potential defects that arise during the production process, the problems in the title of this study include comparing the quality of the material after injected with heat treatment of the material and analyzing the strength of the polymer material using a surface roughness tester. To discuss this, theoretical references from various journals and scientific works are used. The data was collected through software and testing using Microsoft excel software and testing using a vertical injection molding machine and qualitatively analyzed. So the purpose of this study is to determine the hardness value of polymer materials. Based on the results of this study, the surface roughness value (Ra) was known at a temperature of 260°C with an injection time of 1 minute of 4.2 μm, with a time of 2 minutes of 4.1 μm, and of 3 minutes of 3.9 μm, and at a temperature of 280°C with an injection time of 1 minute of 3.2 μm, with a time of 2 minutes of 3.3 μm, and of 3 minutes of 3.5 μm and at a temperature of 300°C with an injection time of1 minute is 2.5 μm, with 2 minutes is 3.4 μm, and 3 minutes is 2.3 μm so it can be concluded that the increase in mold temperature is proven to contribute to smoother surface quality, but it is necessary to consider the cooling time efficiency and mold life. | en_US |
