PT Medisafe Technologies is a manufacturing company producing nitrile gloves, where the stability of latex temperature during the production process is crucial. Uncontrolled temperature conditions may decrease product quality and cause production losses. This research aims to design and implement a temperature monitoring system for chiller water based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to ensure accurate and real-time temperature control. The system employs the DS18B20 temperature sensor for measurement, NodeMCU ESP32 as the data processor, and the Blynk application as a cloud-based monitoring platform. The research methodology includes hardware and software design, system implementation on chillers at PT Medisafe Technologies, and testing of sensor accuracy, connection stability, and notification response. The experimental results show that the system can display temperature in real-time with an average deviation of ±0.5°C. The system also provides automatic notifications via the Blynk application when the temperature exceeds the 18°C threshold, with an average response time of 3 seconds. During the tests, the water temperature mostly remained in the safe range of 16–17.5°C, with several increases above the threshold successfully detected and reported by the system. In conclusion, the IoT-based temperature monitoring system is effective in improving supervision efficiency, reducing the risk of product defects due to unstable temperature, and providing convenient remote access to real-time data. For future development, the system can be enhanced with automatic control features, historical data storage, and integration with web-based interfaces to expand its functionality and reliability. |
