| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak penggunaan bahan bakar gas LPG sebagai alternatif pengganti Pertalite pada mesin bensin pompa air 6,5 HP, dengan fokus pada aspek performa dan efisiensi bahan bakar. Pengujian dilakukan pada tiga kondisi putaran mesin: minimum, rata-rata, dan maksimum. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pada RPM maksimum, LPG mampu menghasilkan debit air sebesar 0,00941 m³/s, lebih tinggi dibandingkan Pertalite (0,00879 m³/s). Efisiensi termal LPG mencapai 0,58%, sedikit lebih unggul dibandingkan Pertalite yang sebesar 0,57% pada kondisi yang sama. Konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik LPG lebih rendah (3,92 mg/J) dibandingkan Pertalite (4,39 mg/J), dan biaya operasional LPG lebih hemat, yaitu Rp6.175/jam dibandingkan Pertalite Rp12.252/jam. Dengan hasil ini, LPG terbukti dapat menjadi alternatif ekonomis dan kompetitif dalam penggunaan mesin pompa air pertanian. This study aims to evaluate the impact of using LPG gas fuel as an alternative to Pertalite in a 6.5 HP gasoline engine water pump, focusing on performance and fuel efficiency. Testing was conducted under three engine speed conditions: minimum, average, and maximum. Results showed that at maximum RPM, LPG produced a water discharge rate of 0.00941 m³/s, higher than Pertalite at 0.00879 m³/s. Thermal efficiency for LPG reached 0.58%, slightly surpassing Pertalite's 0.57% under the same condition. LPG also had a lower specific fuel consumption (3.92 mg/J) compared to Pertalite (4.39 mg/J), with lower operational costs at Rp6,175/hour compared to Pertalite’s Rp12,252/hour. These findings confirm that LPG can be an economical and competitive alternative fuel water pump engines. | en_US |
