Abstract: Usaha pemotongan ayam menjadi sektor yang penting mengingat produksi daging ayam broiler yang terus meningkat. Selain itu, usaha ini juga dapat sedikit membantu menstabilkan harga daging ayam di pasaran. Keberadaan rumah potong seharusnya bukan hanya dilihat dari sisi entitas bisnis, tetapi juga sebagai stabilisator harga daging ayam atas kemampuannya memproduksi daging ayam beku. Adapun tujuan dari penelitiaan ini adalah: Untuk menganalisis pendapatan pedagang ayam broiler di Kota Kuala Simpang Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, dan untuk menganalisis kelayakan usaha pedagang ayam broiler di Kota Kuala Simpang Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Survei adalah penelitian mengambil sampel dari populasi dan menggunakan kuisioner atau wawancara sebagai alat pengumpulan data yang pokok. Metode ini dilakukan terhadap pedagang ayam broiler di pasar Kuala Simpang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif yaitu menggambarkan atau menguraikan variabel penelitian yaitu perbandingan pendapatan usaha peternak ayam broiler pasar atas dan pasar bawah yang ada di Kuala Simpang. Untuk metode analisis data rumusan masalah pertama dianalisis dengan biaya total dengan rumus TC = TFC+TVC, rumusan masalah kedua dianalisis dengan TR = P×Q untuk penerimaan dan π = TR-TC untuk pendapatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa struktur biaya usaha pedagang terdiri dari biaya tetap dan biaya variabel. Biaya tetap yang dikeluarkan pedagang ayam selama satu tahun sebesar Rp. 315.000 dan biaya variabel sebesar Rp. 155.028.000. Total biaya yang dikeluarkan pedagang ayam sebesar Rp. 155.343.000. Pendapatan rata-rata usaha pedagang ayam selama satu bulan sebesar Rp. 6.277.435 dikatakan untung karena total penerimaan lebih besar dari total biaya. Dimana total penerimaan Rp. 161.620.435 dan total biaya Rp. 155.343.000. Saran bagi pedagang ayam di pasar Kuala Simpang untuk mengestimasi volume pembelian ayam terhadap tingkat penjualan ayam dan menambah variasi ayam agar menambah konsumen dan meningkatkan keuntungan. Bagi pemerintah, disarankan untuk menambah fasilitas yang tersedia dipasar Kuala Simpang seperti membangun lahan parkir yang belum ada di pasar Kuala Simpang. The chicken slaughterhouse business is a crucial sector given the continued increase in broiler chicken production. Furthermore, this business can also help stabilize chicken prices in the market. The existence of slaughterhouses should not only be viewed as a business entity, but also as a stabilizer of chicken prices due to their ability to produce frozen chicken. The objectives of this study are: To analyze the income of broiler chicken traders in Kuala Simpang City, Aceh Tamiang Regency, and to analyze the feasibility of broiler chicken traders in Kuala Simpang City, Aceh Tamiang Regency. The method used in this study is a survey. A survey is a study that takes a sample from the population and uses questionnaires or interviews as the primary data collection tool. This method was conducted with broiler chicken traders in Kuala Simpang market. This type of research is descriptive, describing or explaining the research variables, namely the comparison of income of broiler chicken farmers in the upper and lower markets in Kuala Simpang. For the data analysis method, the first problem formulation was analyzed using the total cost formula TC = TFC + TVC. The second problem formulation was analyzed using TR = P × Q for revenue and π = TR - TC for income. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the cost structure of the chicken vendor business consists of fixed costs and variable costs. The fixed costs incurred by the chicken vendor during one year were Rp. 315,000 and the variable costs were Rp. 155,028,000. The total costs incurred by the chicken vendor were Rp. 155,343,000. The average income of the chicken vendor business during one month was Rp. 6,277,435. This is considered profitable because the total revenue is greater than the total costs. The total revenue was Rp. 161,620,435 and the total costs were Rp. 155,343,000. Suggestions for chicken traders at Kuala Simpang Market include estimating chicken purchase volume relative to sales volume and increasing chicken variety to attract more customers and increase profits. The government is recommended to improve facilities at Kuala Simpang Market, such as building a parking lot, which does not yet exist.
