dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran komunikasi interpersonal guru dalam pembentukan karakter murid serta faktor-faktor yang mendukung terjalinnya komunikasi interpersonal tersebut di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal guru memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam pembentukan karakter murid. Komunikasi interpersonal guru tercermin melalui keterbukaan dalam berkomunikasi, empati terhadap kondisi murid, sikap suportif dalam memberikan motivasi dan bimbingan, keteladanan melalui perilaku dan tutur kata, serta pola interaksi dan kedekatan emosional antara guru dan murid. Melalui komunikasi yang terbuka dan empatik, murid merasa dihargai, nyaman, dan lebih mudah menerima arahan serta nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan oleh guru. Selain itu, penelitian ini menemukan beberapa faktor yang mendukung terjalinnya komunikasi interpersonal guru dalam pembentukan karakter murid, yaitu kepercayaan murid terhadap guru, budaya sekolah Islami, kepribadian guru yang sabar, empatik, dan konsisten, dukungan program dan kebijakan sekolah, serta intensitas interaksi antara guru dan murid. Faktor-faktor tersebut saling berkaitan dan berkontribusi dalam menciptakan komunikasi yang efektif dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, komunikasi interpersonal guru yang didukung oleh lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter murid yang disiplin, bertanggung jawab, saling menghormati, dan berakhlak baik. This study aims to determine the role of teacher interpersonal communication in shaping student character and the factors that support such communication in the school environment. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants in this study consisted of teachers, students, and the principal. The results indicate that teacher interpersonal communication plays a significant role in shaping student character. Teacher interpersonal communication is reflected in openness in communication, empathy for students' conditions, a supportive attitude in providing motivation and guidance, role modeling through behavior and speech, and patterns of interaction and emotional closeness between teachers and students. Throughopen andempathetic communication, students feel valued, comfortable, and more receptive to the direction and character values instilled by teachers. Furthermore, this study identified several factors that support teacher interpersonal communication in shaping student character: students' trust in teachers, an Islamic school culture, teachers' patient, empathetic, and consistent personalities, support for school programs and policies, and the intensity of teacher-student interactions. These factors are interrelated and contribute to creating effective and meaningful communication. Thus, interpersonal communication between teachers, supported by a conducive school environment, plays a crucial role in shaping students' character, which includes discipline, responsibility, mutual respect, and good morals.en_US
