Analisis fosfor tersedia dilakukan menggunakan metode Bray I, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Phosphorus is an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in plant metabolic processes, particularly in root development, energy transfer, flowering, and fruit formation. This study aimed to evaluate the status of available phosphorus (P) under different topographic conditions in smallholder oil palm plantations located in Juma Tombak Village, Sinembah Tanjung Muda Hilir Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency. The main research questions were to determine the level of available phosphorus in oil palm soils and to examine whether topographic variation significantly affects phosphorus availability. The research was conducted on three topographic classes: flat (0–8%), gently sloping (8–15%), and moderately steep (15–25%), with soil sampling at two depths (0–40 cm and 40–80 cm). Availablephosphorus was analyzed using the Bray I method, and the data were statistically tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that available phosphorus content across all topographic conditions was categorized as very high. The average values at 0–40 cm depth were approximately 30.9 ppm in flat areas, 30.75 ppm in gently sloping areas, and 30.84 ppm in moderately steep areas. At the 40–80 cm depth, phosphorus values were slightly lower but still classified as high. The ANOVA results indicated that topography (p = 0.544) and soil depth (p = 0.142) had no significant effect on available phosphorus content. These findings suggest that phosphorus distribution in the study area is relatively homogeneous and more influenced by long-term fertilization accumulation and soil chemical characteristics than by topographic variation. |
