This study aims to determine the difference in purchasing interest between local and non-local skincare brands among students at Eria Private High School in Medan. The hypothesis is that there is a difference in purchasing interest, assuming that purchasing interest in local skincare is higher than non-local skincare. This study uses a comparative quantitative method. The population consists of 192 students, and the sampling technique used is total sampling, which includes 77 students who use local skincare and 62 students who use non-local skincare. The data analysis method uses the independent T-test technique. Based on the results of the independent T-test calculation, it is known that the sig value is 0.316>0.05. Thus, it is known that there is no difference in purchasing interest between local and non-local skincare products, so the proposed hypothesis is rejected. The purchasing interest in local skincare products is classified as moderate with an empirical mean value of 75.31 and an SD value of 5.492, while the purchasing interest in non-local skincare products is classified as high with an empirical mean value of 75.73 and an SD value of 4.447. |
