Self Efficacy Academic dengan Grit Academic pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sumatera Utara yang menggunakan ChatGPT

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy academic dengan grit academic pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas X dalam mengerjakan skripsi dengan bantuan ChatGPT. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 240 mahasiswa, dengan sampel sebanyak 88 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Korelasi Product Moment. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-efficacy academic dan grit academic. Hipotesis penelitian diterima dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) sebesar 0,584 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (r²) sebesar 0,341 menunjukkan bahwa self efficacy academic memberikan sumbangan sebesar 34,1% terhadap grit academic, sedangkan 65,9% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar variabel yang diteliti. Selain itu, hasil uji mean menunjukkan bahwa self-efficacy academic dan grit academic mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas X tergolong rendah, dengan nilai rata-rata empirik masing-masing sebesar 40,86 dan 42,31, lebih rendah dibandingkan mean hipotetiknya (47,5 dan 50). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa self efficacy academic memiliki hubungan dengan grit academic pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran dalam mengerjakan skripsi dengan bantuan ChatGPT. This study aims to examine the correlation between academic self-efficacy and academic grit among medical students of the Faculty of Medicine, University X, in completing their thesis with the assistance of ChatGPT. The study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational analysis technique. The research population consisted of 240 students, with a sample of 88 students selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using the Product Moment Correlation. The results of the analysis indicated a significant positive correlation between academic self-efficacy and academic grit. The research hypothesis was accepted, with a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.584 and a coefficient of determination (r²) of 0.341, indicating that academic self-efficacy contributed 34.1% to academic grit, while the remaining 65.9% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. In addition, the mean test results showed that academic self-efficacy and academic grit among medical students of University X were categorized as low, with empirical mean scores of 40.86 and 42.31, respectively, which were lower than their hypothetical means (47.5 and 50). This study concludes that academic self-efficacy has a significant correlation with academic grit among medical students in completing their thesis with the assistance of ChatGPT.
