This study discusses the issue of adolescents who have lost their father figure, or who are fatherless, which often makes them feel worthless and prone to depression or social difficulties. The aim is to see whether social support from family, friends, or school can help boost their self-confidence. Using quantitative research methods with simple regression analysis, the researchers collected data from 54 students at Budisatrya Private High School in Medan who were fatherless. The results showed that social support had a positive and significant effect on the self-esteem of fatherless students, with a regression coefficient of 0.486 and a contribution of 46.5%. This means that the higher the social support received by students, the greater the increase in their self-esteem. These findings emphasize the importance of social support from family, peers, and the school environment as protective factors in building self-esteem for students experiencing fatherlessness.en_US
