The method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants included foreign tourists, local residents (traders, staff from the cultural and tourism office), and traditional leaders. The results indicate that intercultural communication in Tuktuk occurs through the use of mixed languages, cultural adaptation through social observation, the use of technology as a communication tool, and participation in cultural activities. Barriers encountered include differences in language, cultural values, and communication styles. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for local governments and tourism operators to improve the quality of cross-cultural interactions and the experiences of foreign tourists in Samosir.en_US
