This study aims to determine the differences in parenting stress levels between working mothers and stay-at-home mothers who have early childhood children at RA Aulia Azkiya Fakhira. Based on Abidin (1992) and Deater-Deckard (2004), parenting stress is influenced by role demands, social support, and role conflicts. This research used a quantitative comparative method with a total sample of 66 respondents, consisting of 36 working mothers and 30 stay-at-home mothers. Data were collected using the Parenting stress Scale (SSP) and analyzed using the T-Test. The results showed a significant difference between the two groups, with working mothers experiencing higher levels of parenting stress (mean = 55.94) compared to stay-at-home mothers (mean = 30.77). These findings highlight that role overload and limited time are major contributing factors to stress among working mothers.
