This study aims to determine the effect of cow manure compost and Eco-Farming fertilizer on the growth and production of sweet mustard (Brassica juncea L.) plants. The study was conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Medan Area University using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of two factors, namely the dose of cow manure compost (0, 10, 20, and 30 tons/ha) and the dose of Eco-Farming fertilizer (0, 25, 50, and 75 ml/L of water), with two replications. The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, fresh plan weinght per sample, and fres weight per plot. The results showed that the single treatment of cow manure compost or Eco-Farming fertilizer did not have a significant effect on all observed parameters. The interaction between the two treatments also did not show a significant effect on the growth and yield of sweet mustard plants. This is thought to be because the nutrients from organic fertilizer are not fully available to plants during the short growth period (28 days after planting), so they have not provided a significant physiological response to the vegetative growth of plants. Further research is needed with a longer observation period and more varied application doses to obtain more optimal results for the growth and production of sweet mustard plants. |
