| dc.description.abstract | Ageratum conyzoides L. merupakan gulma penting yang membatasi produktivitas tanaman budidaya, sehingga diperlukan alternatif pengendalian yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas kombinasi ekstrak daun mimba Azadirachta indica A. Juss. dan asam asetat sebagai herbisida alami terhadap A. conyzoides L.. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penggunaan kombinasi ekstrak botani dan asam organik sebagai strategi pengendalian gulma terintegrasi yang masih terbatas dilaporkan. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok nonfaktorial dengan 12 perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas aplikasi tunggal dan kombinasi ekstrak daun mimba (3%, 5%, dan 7%) serta asam asetat (10%, 15%, dan 20%), dengan kontrol akuades steril. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pertumbuhan (tinggi tanaman dan luas daun), persentase kematian, fitotoksisitas, biomassa (bobot basah dan kering), serta pH media tanam. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tunggal maupun kombinasi mampu menekan pertumbuhan dan meningkatkan kematian A. conyzoides L. tanpa mempengaruhi pH tanah. Kombinasi terbaik diperoleh pada A2M2 (mimba 5% + asam asetat 10%), yang menurunkan tinggi tanaman menjadi 9,67 cm dan luas daun menjadi 4,58 cm, serta meningkatkan fitotoksisitas dan kematian hingga 100%, dengan pH tanah 6,33. Dengan demikian, kombinasi ekstrak daun mimba dan asam asetat berpotensi sebagai herbisida alami yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan untuk pengendalian A. conyzoides. L. Ageratum conyzoides is an important weed that limits crop productivity; therefore, environmentally friendly control alternatives are needed. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a combination of neem leaf extract and acetic acid as a natural herbicide against Ageratum conyzoides. The novelty of this research lies in the use of a combination of botanical extracts and organic acids as an integrated weed management strategy, which has rarely been reported. The study employed a non-factorial Randomized Block Design consisting of 12 treatments with three replications. The treatments included single and combined applications of neem leaf extract (3%, 5%, and 7%) and acetic acid (10%, 15%, and 20%), while sterile distilled water served as the control. The observed parameters included plant growth (height and leaf area), mortality percentage, phytotoxicity, biomass (fresh and dry weight), and soil pH. The results showed that both single and combined treatments were able to suppress growth and increase the mortality of Ageratum conyzoides without affecting soil pH. The best treatment was obtained from the A2M2 combination (5% neem leaf extract + 10% acetic acid), which reduced plant height to 9.67 cm and leaf area to 4.58 cm, while increasing phytotoxicity and mortality rates up to 100%, with a soil pH of 6.33. Therefore, the combination of neem leaf extract and acetic acid has potential as an effective and environmentally friendly natural herbicide for controlling Ageratum conyzoides. | en_US |
