This study aims to analyze the tensile strength of welded joints resulting from the Metal Inert Gas (MiG) process on Tailor Welded Blanks (TWB) that combine metals with different thicknesses. Tailor Welded Blank is a welding method widely used in the automotive and manufacturing industries because it is able to produce lightweight yet strong structures. In this study, the material used was low carbon steel with two thickness variations. The welding process was carried out with controlled parameters to ensure uniform joint quality. Tensile tests were conducted to determine the mechanical characteristics of the joint, including maximum tensile strength, strain, and fracture location. This study discusses the tensile strength values from three experimental variations with a current of 80 amperes. The first variation (ST) showed stresses of 0.12 MPa, 0.107 MPa, and 0.067 MPa in the first, second, and third experiments, respectively. The second variation (code SR) produced stresses of 0.133 MPa in the first experiment, 0.093 MPa in the second experiment, and 0.08 MPa in the third experiment. Meanwhile, the third variation (code SH) with the same current showed a stress result of 0.053 MPa. This result illustrates a significant difference in tensile strength in each experimental variation.en_US
