| dc.description.abstract | Proses perebusan tandan buah segar (TBS) pada stasiun perebusan memerlukan penggunaan uap yang tinggi, sehingga perlu dilakukan optimasi parameter proses. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan kombinasi faktor parameter yang efisien dengan menggunakan metode Regresi linier dan metode Taguchi. Faktor yang diteliti ialah tekanan uap, waktu perebusan, dan kapasitas sterilizer dengan tiga level masing-masing. Penelitian ini diawali dengan pengambilan data dan pengamatan langsung di stasiun perebusan dan dilakukan desain eksperimen Orthogonal Array L9 untuk menentukan variasi parameter. Selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan penggunaan uap aktual berdasarkan data lapangan dan membuat model regresi linier untuk menggambarkan hubungan antara variabel bebas dengan variabel terikat, yang kemudian model regresi divalidasi Mean Absolute Perncentage Error. Setelah model dinyatakan valid maka metode Taguchi digunakan untuk Optimasi parameter perebusan dengan kriteria smaller is better. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas sterilizer merupakan faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penggunaan uap, diikuti waktu perebusan, sedangkan tekanan uap tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Kombinasi optimal diperoleh pada tekanan 2.8 kg/cm2, waktu perebusan 49 menit, dan kapasitas sterilizer 25 ton dengan penggunaan uap 1.5232 kg uap/ton TBS. The sterilization process of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) in the sterilizer station requires a high amount of steam consumption, thus process parameter optimization is necessary. This study aims to determine the most efficient combination of process parameters using linear regression analysis and the Taguchi method. The factors investigated include steam pressure, sterilization time, and sterilizer capacity, each at three levels. The research began with data collection through direct field observation at the sterilizer station and employed an Orthogonal Array L9 experimental design to determine parameter variations. Subsequently, the actual steam consumption was calculated based on field data, and a linear regression model was developed to describe the relationship between independent variables and the response variable. The regression model was then validated using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). Once validated, the Taguchi method was applied to optimize the sterilization parameters with the smaller is better criterion. The results showed that sterilizer capacity was the most influential factor on steam consumption, followed by sterilization time, while steam pressure had no significant effect. The optimal combination was obtained at 2.8 kg/cm² steam pressure, 49 minutes sterilization time, and 25 tons sterilizer capacity, resulting in a minimum steam consumption of 1.5232 kg/ton FFB. | en_US |
