The increase in electrical energy consumption in buildings, particularly due to the use of Air Conditioners (AC), demands a more efficient and sustainable control system. One solution that can be established is the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology to optimize the control of air conditioning systems. This study aims to design an IoTbased Smart AC Controller system that is capable of automatically controlling AC operation based on environmental conditions and user preferences. The methods used include system requirements analysis, system architecture design, and AC control process flow modeling. The system is designed by integrating temperature and humidity sensors, control units, gateways, database servers, user dashboards, and external data sources in the form of weather forecasts. Environmental data obtained from sensors is processed by the control unit to produce AC control decisions which are then implemented through actuators in the HVAC system. The design results show that the IoT-based Smart AC Controller system is capable of supporting more adaptive, structured, and data-driven AC control. This system has the potential to increase the efficiency of electrical energy use without reducing the comfort of room users.en_US
