Abstract: In the context of modern residential areas, this problem is increasingly complex. Sources of pollution do not only come from indoor activities such as cooking or using household products, but also from outside sources. Smoke from waste burning, vehicle exhaust, and industrial emissions can easily enter homes through windows and ventilation, creating discomfort and significant health risks, especially for vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly . Traditional solutions that rely on manual actions such as closing windows or turning on fans prove ineffective, especially when residents are away or asleep. Responding to this challenge, the concept of a "Smart Home" offers an intelligent and automatic solution. By integrating sensor technology, automation, and the Internet of Things (IoT), a system can be designed to autonomously detect, analyze, and respond to environmental changes. This approach aligns with the principles of Industrial Engineering, which focuses on system optimization, process efficiency, human factors (ergonomics), and the integration of technology to improve overall quality of life.
