In tropical regions like Indonesia, weather conditions are often unpredictable. Rain can fall suddenly without any clear warning. This poses a problem for residents who are engaged in outdoor activities and cannot monitor the condition of their laundry. As a result, clothes that are being dried may get wet again, requiring the drying process to be repeated (Hidayat & Akbar, 2024). This situation leads to a waste of time, effort, and resources. From an industrial engineering perspective, this issue indicates inefficiencies in the drying process because the system still relies on manual supervision. An uncontrolled process can reduce the effectiveness of household activities and decrease users’ productivity. In light of these issues, an analysis and design of an automatic clothesline system based on weather sensors were conducted, with the aim of improving efficiency in the clothes-drying process, reducing the risk of clothes getting wet in the rain, and making daily activities easier for users. Additionally, the designed system is expected to serve as a simple, easy-to-implement, and beneficial solution for the community.en_US
