dc.description.abstractThis research aims to identify and describe strategic elements as a basis for strategic planning in the tourism industry post-Covid-19 pandemic in North Sumatra Province. This study uses secondary data by processing census data from the Depart-ment of Statistics from January to July 2023. The research results show that the hotel occupancy rate in July 2023 stood at 50.01%, with 4-star hotels reaching the highest rate of 68.40%. The aviation sector saw a significant recovery, with a month-on-month increase of 14.73% in domestic departures. Maritime passenger transportation also experienced substantial growth, with a 31.85% increase in departing passengers during the same period. This study forms the basis for future strategic planning in the tourism sector and highlights the importance of resilience and sustainable practices.en_US
