| dc.description.abstract | This research examines the connection between Job Performance (JP), Organizational Commitment (OC), and Organizational Identification (OI) in Islamic higher education institutions in Medan City. Using a rigorous quantitative method—Covariance-based Structural Equation Modelling (CB-SEM)—data were collected from 150 personnel across several Islamic universities. The results show a significant positive relationship between OI and JP, with OC acting as a mediating variable that enhances OI's impact on JP. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering strong organizational identification to improve employee performance. The study enriches the understanding of organizational behavior by clarifying OC's mediating role in the OI-JP relationship, particularly in the under-researched context of Islamic education. It suggests that cultivating OI among employees is crucial for strengthening institutional commitment and performance. As the first study of its kind in Medan's Islamic universities, it provides valuable insights for academia and institutional leaders about how OI influences organizational outcomes. The findings have significant implications for future research and policy development in Islamic educational management, broadening the discussion on organizational identification and performance into new, important areas. | en_US |
