Abstract: | Concrete is one construction material that has been commonly used for buildings. Concrete formed from aggregate mix (delicate and rough) with a paste of cement, water, and other additional material value comparison with certain. This research used an additional ingredient iron lathe scrap that aims to improve the quality of concrete. The percentage of these additional material was taken from the aggregate smooth weight after reckoning design composition. Iron lathe scrap are incorporated into the concrete mix that is 10% and 40%. Held on the testing of concrete fresh and on concrete that has been hardened at the age of 28 days. From the research, for testing concrete fresh obtained value slump 6 cm, 4 cm, and 2 cm. For testing of concrete that has hardened with variations of the addition of iron lathe scrap 10 percent, press the value of strong concrete increased by 5,99% of the value of strong concrete normal press planned (K-225). While with variations additional iron lathe scrap 40%, the strong press concrete down by 6,82 % of the strong press concrete normal planned but still included in K-225. |
Description: | Beton merupakan salah satu bahan konstruksi yang telah umum digunakan untuk bangunan. Beton dibentuk dari agregat campuran (halus dan kasar) ditambah dengan pasta semen, air, dan bahan tambahan lainnya dengan nilai perbandingan tertentu. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan bahan tambahan besi scrap mesin bubut yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu kuat tekan pada beton. Persentase bahan tambahan ini diambil dari berat agregat halus setelah perhitungan desain komposisi. Kandungan besi scrap mesin bubut yang dimasukkan kedalam campuran beton yaitu 10% dan 40%. Pengujian dilaksanakan pada beton segar dan pada beton yang telah mengeras pada umur 28 hari. Dari hasil penelitian, untuk pengujian beton segar diperoleh nilai slump 6 cm, 4 cm, dan 2 cm. Untuk pengujian beton yang telah mengeras dengan variasi penambahan besi scrap mesin bubut 10%, nilai kuat tekan beton meningkat sebesar 5,99% dari nilai kuat tekan beton normal yang direncanakan (K-225). Sedangkan dengan variasi penambahan besi scrap mesin bubut 40%, nilai kuat tekan beton menurun sebesar 6,82% dari nilai kuat tekan beton normal yang direncanakan tetapi masih termasuk dalam K-225 |
