Abstract: | Onion is a plat that has a high economic value and has been widely cultivated society. Brassica vegetable waste is waste that contain nutrients that are good for plants. So it takes study about the union plant responses with the using of waste brassica. This research aimed to determine whether the using of waste composted cabbage gave a good response to the growth and production of onion. Research conducted at the experimental station of the Faculty of Agriculture, University Medan Area located on the street kolam 1 Medan Estate, District Sei Tuan Percut with altitude of 12 m above sea level, in the March to May 2015, using a randomized block design (RAK) Non factorial, consisting of 5 treatments with 5 replications, in order to get 25 research plots. Factors examined, ie a dose of compost Brassica ie A0 = no waste cabbage (control); A1 = 1 kg of waste composted cabbage; A2 = 2 kg cabbage compost waste; A3 = 3 kg of waste composted cabbage; A4 = 4 kg cabbage compost waste. The results showed the using of compost Brassica very significant effect on the growth of onion crop (plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, and the number of tubers per hill) and effect no significant effect on crop production of onion (fresh weight per hill and wet weight of tuber per plot). In general, these studies show that the use of compost Brassica can promote the growth and yield of onion production cost is more economical. |
Faktor yang diuji yaitu dosis pupuk kompos limbah kubis yaitu A0 = tanpa limbah kubis (kontrol) ; A1 = 1 kg kompos limbah kubis ; A2 = 2 kg kompos limbah kubis ; A3 = 3 kg kompos limbah kubis ; A4 = 4 kg kompos limbah kubis. |
