dc.descriptionRespon Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Mentimun (Cucumis Sativus L) Terhadap Pemberian Pupuk Kompos Eceng Gondok. Tanaman Mentimun (Cucumis Sativus L) adalah salah satu jenis tanaman merambat yang buahnya dimakan sebagai lalap, sayur dan bahan obatan. Produksi mentimun masi cukup rendah yang di akibatkan budidayanya belum dilaksanakan secara intensif seperti penggunaan pupuk yang tepat sehingga perlu dilakukannya pemanfaatan pupuk organik yaitu pupuk kompos eceng gondok. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji respon pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun terhadap kompos eceng gondok (Eichornia Crassipes (Mart) Solm.). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area dengan ketinggian 20 MDPL dimulai bulan Mei sampai dengan Juli 2016. Perlakuan terdiri dari K0 : tanpa pupuk, K1 : pupuk kompos eceng gondok dengan dosis 0.5 ton/ha, K2 : pupuk kompos eceng gondok dengan dosis 1 ton/ha, K3 : pupuk kompos eceng gondok dengan dosis 1.5 ton/ha, K4 : dengan pupuk kompos eceng gondok dengan dosis 2 ton/ha, dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Non Faktorial dan di ulang sebanyak 5 kali. Parameter yang di amati pada penelitian ini meliputi tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter batang (mm), jumlah putik (buah), jumlah buah (buah), berat buah per plot (g). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan pemberian pupuk kompos eceng gondok berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman dengan dosis sebesar 2 ton/ha (K4) pada parameter tinggi tanaman, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pelakuan lainnya.en_US
dc.description.abstractResponse Growth And Production Plant Cucumber (Cucumis Sativus L) On The Granting Of Manure Compost Water Hyacinth. Crop Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L) is one type of vines whose fruit is eaten as a salad, vegetable and medical materials. Cucumber production is still quite low which in result of intensive cultivation have not been implemented as the proper use of fertilizers so that the necessary recovery of waste that is composted organic fertilizer water hyacinth. This study was conducted to test the response of the growth and production of cucumber plants against water hyacinth compost (Eichornia crassipes (Mart) Solm.). This research has been conducted in the Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area with a height of 20 meters above sea level began in May until July 2016. The treatment consists of K0: without fertilizer, K1: compost water hyacinth with a dose of 0.5 ton/ha, K2: compost water hyacinth with a dose of 1 ton / ha, K3: compost water hyacinth with a dose of 1.5 ton/ha, K4: with water hyacinth compost at a dose of 2 ton/ha, using a randomized block design non factorial and repeated 5 times. The parameters were observed in this study in terms of height (cm), stem diameter (mm), the number of pistils (fruits), the amount of fruit (fruit), fruit weight per plot (kg). The results demonstrated the provision of water hyacinth compost significantly affect plant growth at a dose of 2 tons / ha (K4) on the parameters plant height and diameter, but did not significantly affect the production of cucumber plants.en_US
