Abstract: Ruang bakar dalam boiler memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam melakukan pembakaran untuk menghasilkan energi panas yang digunakan untuk merebus air di dalam pipa. Dengan kapasitas uap 30 ton uap/jam tekanan 20 bar dengan menggunakan motoda bahan bakar cangkang dan fiber. Maka didapat nilai kalor atas (HHV) sebesar 4789,413 kkal/kg bb, serta pada nilai kalor bawah (LHV) sebesar 4477,7196 kka/kg bb pada bahan cangkang. Sedangkan pada bahan fiber terdapat nilai kalor atas (HHV) sebesar 4595,2295 kkal/kg bb, serta nilai kalor bawah (LHV) sebesar 4291,4471 kkal/kg bb, sehingga nilai campuran cangkang dan fiber diperoleh sebesar 4338,0152 kkal/kg(LHV) bb s/d 4643,7754 kkal/kg bb(HHV). Untuk proses perebusan air didalam pipa, sehingga perlu diperhatikan jenis dan kualitas bahan bakar yang digunakan agar sistem pembakaran dapat bekerja dengan baik dan tidak terjadi kerugian kalor yang berlebihan.
Description: The boil room plays a crucial role to conduct the combustion and resulting heat energy to boiling water in the pipe. The study uses the capacity of steam at 30 ton/hour, 20 bar of pressure, and employs the shell and fiber fuel motoda. Then it is resulting from the higher calorific value (HHV) as much as 4789.413 kcal/kg bb and the lower calorific value (LHV) as much as 4477.7196 kcal/kg bb for the shell fuel. Meanwhile, the fiber fuel has the higher calorific value (HHV) as much as 4595.2295 kcal/kg bb and the lower calorific value (LHV) as much as 4291.4471 kcal/kg bb. Thus the value of blended shell and fiber is reached as much as 4338.0152 kcal/kg bb (LHV) up to 4643.7754 kcal/kg bb (HHV). As the conclusion, while conducting the process of boiling water in the pipe, the type and quality of fuel should be observed so that the combustion system will be work properly and avoiding the excessive heat loss.
