dc.descriptionPenelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Hipotesa peneliti berbunyi ada hubungan positif antara kecerdasan emosional dengan organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Dimana semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosional pegawai maka semakin tinggi pula organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) pegawai. Penelitian ini melibatkan 50 pegawai Universitas Medan Area sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian adalah skala kecerdasan emosional dan skala organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Skala kecerdasan emosional disusun berdasarkan aspek kecerdasan emosional dari Goleman (2002), skala organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) disusun berdasarkan dimensi organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) menurut Organ (1998). Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi product moment, menunjukkan hasil terdapat hubungan positif (rxy = 0.731 ; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Selain itu diketahui bahwa variabel kecerdasan emosional mempengaruhi organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) sebesar 53,5% (R square = 0.535)en_US
dc.description.abstractThis quantitative study aims to examine the relationship of emotional intelligence with organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The researchers hypothesis reads that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Where the higher the emotional intelligence of employees the higher the organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) employees. This research involved 50 employees of University of Medan Area as research subject. Sampling is done by total sampling technique. The research instrument is the scale of emotional intelligence and the scale of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The emotional intelligence scale is based on the emotional intelligence aspect of Goleman (2002), the scale of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) is based on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) dimensions by Organ (1998). Data analysis using product moment correlation test, showed the result of positive relationship (rxy = 0.731; p = 0.000 <0.05). Also note that emotional intelligence variables affect organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of 53.5% (R square = 0.535)en_US
