| Abstract: | This study aims to see differences in confidence in students who live with parents and who live in an orphanage in SMA Mamiyai Al-Ittihadiyah Medan. Subjects in this study were students living with parents and living in orphanages. The measuring instrument used is a self-confidence instrument, which consists of 32 items (ɑ = 0.822). Data analysis using t-test analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the hypothesis proposed in this study was rejected. Evidenced by the value or coefficient of difference of 1.583, with significance of 0.119 (P> 0.05) From the average value is known confidence of students who live with parents 69,700 and who live in orphanage has an average value of 66.333. Then the results calculation of empirical mean and the hypothetical mean is obtained that the confidence of students living with the parents and students living in the orphanage is in the low category, since the hypothetical mean is greater than the empirical mean and the difference exceeds the standard deviation value |
| Description: | Penelitian ini bertjuan untuk melihat perbedaan kepercayaan diri pada siswa yang tinggal bersama orangtua dan yang tinggal di panti asuhan di SMA Mamiyai Al-Ittihadiyah Medan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang tinggal bersama orangtua dan yang tinggal di panti asuhan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah instrumen kepercayaan diri, yang terdiri dari 32 aitem (ɑ = 0,822). Analisis data menggunakan analisis t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini ditolak. Dibuktikan dengan nilai atau koefisiensi perbedaan sebesar 1,583, dengan signifikansi 0,119 (P > 0.05. Dari nilai rata-rata diketahui kepercayaan diri siswa yang tinggal bersama orangtua 69,700 dan yang tinggal di panti asuhan memiliki nilai rata-rata 66,333. Kemudian hasil perhitungan mean empirik dan mean hipotetik diperoleh bahwa kepercayaan diri siswa yang tinggal bersama orangtua dan siswa yang tinggal di panti asuhan berada pada kategori rendah, sebab mean hipotetik lenih besar dari mean empirik dan selisihnya melebihi nilai standard deviation |
