Abstract: This study aims to determine the factors that affect the motivation of students doing the guidance and counseling in a private JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL Yapendak Tinjowan. Therefore, this research aims to know the factors that influence student motivation fakor do guidance and Counselling in schools. This research uses a quantitative approach to type descriptive. The selection of subjects of research using random sampling techniques to a number of 72 Private JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL students Yapendak Tinjowan. Data collection method using question form filling. Data collection tools use descriptive analysis techniques, standart deviation, mean and percentage. Based on test validity and reliability testing of measuring instrument are known to scale the motivation students had Corrected Item-Total Correlation ≥ 0.3; with the score moves from rbt = 0304 to rbt = 0565, with a Cronbach Alpha reliability scores 0776. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis of the student's motivation factors, namely internal factors of 36% and external factors of 64% of which where external factors greater than internal factors. External factors include BK teacher of 39%, BK service facilities of 29%, the influence of the parents 17% and friends Association of 15%. Internal factors include having a goal of 81% and the needs of 19%.
Description: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi siswa melakukan Bimbingan dan Konseling di SMP Swasta Yapendak Tinjowan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-fakor yang mempengaruhi motivasi siswa melakukan Bimbingan dan Konseling di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif berjenis deskriptif. Pemilihan subyek penelitian menggunakan teknik random sampling, sejumlah 72 siswa SMP Swasta Yapendak Tinjowan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan pengisian angket. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakn teknik analisis deskriptif, standart deviasi, mean dan persentase. Berdasarkan uji validitas dn uji reliabilitas alat ukur diketahui skala motivasi siswa memiliki Corrected Item-Total Correlation ≥ 0,3; dengan skor bergerak dari rbt= 0.304 sampai rbt= 0.565, dengan skor reliabilitas Cronbach Alpha 0.776. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif faktor motivasi siswa, yaitu faktor internal sebesar 36% dan faktor eksternal sebesar 64% yang dimana faktor eksternal lebih besar dari faktor internal. Faktor eksternal diantaranya guru BK sebesar 39%, fasilitas layanan BK sebesar 29%, pengaruh orang tua 17% dan teman pergaulan sebesar 15%. Faktor internal diantaranya memiliki tujuan sebesar 81% dan adanya kebutuhan 19%.
