Hubungan antara Dukungan Orangtua dengan Kematangan Karir pada Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Medan

Abstract

This research aims to look at the relationship of parental support on career maturity with sman 1 Medan. The subject in this study are students of Class XI SCIENCE majors and IPS that add up to 480 students. Sampling techniques using cluster random sampling. Data retrieval is performed using two scales, that is the scale of the support of parents and the scale of the ripeness of a career. Data analysis using correlation techniques (rxy) of 0,364 with p = 0.002, meaning there is 0.050 < positive relationship between parental support and significant with the maturity of career grade XI, which suggests that the higher the support parents then the better the maturity of his career. In contrast the lower parental support then the lower the maturity of his career. Support parents in this study students SMA Negeri 1 Medan belongs to high because (the empirical mean = hipotetik > 150.56 mean = 107.5 where the difference exceeds the number of SD = 18.035). And career maturity also belongs, because (the empirical mean = hipotetik > 111.72 mean = 87.5 which the difference exceeds the number of SD = 11.067). As for the determination of the correlation coefficient of R2 = 0.132 means parental support contribute to career maturity of 13.2%. The results of this research hypothesis according with the research results in the field.
