Hubungan Antara Dukungan Orang Tua Tunggal (Ibu) dengan Motivasi Belajar pada Siswa di Pondok Pesantren Mawaridussalam

Abstract

This research aims to look at the correlation of support by single parent (mother) and learning motivation in students at Pesantren Mawaridussalam. The subject in this study are the student/students of Class VII to IX. Total 51 students. Who have a single parent mom. Total sampling techniques were used for this research. Data retrieval is performed using two scales, that is the scale of support by a single parent (mother) and learning motivation scale. Data analysis using correlation techniques (rxy) of 0495 with p = 0.000, i.e. There are 0.005 < positive relationships and significant support among single parents (mother) and learning motivation of students, which shows that the bigger support given by a single parent (mother) then the higher Motivation of their learning. Support by a single parent (mother) in this study belongs to high because (the empirical mean 108.47. > mean hipotetik = 85 where the difference exceeds the number of SD = 10,906). Learning and motivation is also classified as high, because (the empirical mean = 85.75. > mean hipotetik = 72.5 where the difference exceeds the number of SD = 5.824). As for the determination of the correlation coefficient of R2 = 0.245 it means to support a single parent (mother) contributions effective against learning motivation of 24.5%. The results of this research hypothesis according with the research results in the field.
