Perbedaan Perilaku Prososial Remaja Ditinjau Dari Jenis Kelamin di Kelurahan Tanjung Rejo Medan Sunggal

Abstract

Prosocial behavior can also be interpreted as any action that benefits others. This prosocial behavior includes altruism, mutual help, mutual comfort, friendship, help, salvation, sacrifice, generosity, mutual sharing and responding to others with sympathy and form of cooperation. The reason behind this research is that sexes of women and men may have differences in terms of prosocial behavior. The research approach used is quantitative. The sample of the study were teenage boys and girls who lived or lived in Tanjung Rejo Sub-district Medan Sunggal as many as 60 people consisting of 30 male teenagers and 30 girls aged 14-21 years. The technique of determining the sample using accidental sampling technique .. The validity test used is the validity of the content. Reliability test using Cronbach Alpha formula with SPSS 19.00 for windows which obtained reliability coefficient of prosocial behavior of 0.866. The data analysis used in this study is the independent sample t-test. The results of the study showed that men were higher in prosocial behavior compared to women. This is due to differences in physical factors and psychological factors such as affective differences, cognitive differences, parenting factors, and age. Where the mean value obtained is 79.00 men and 70.17 women.
