dc.descriptionPenelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menguji dan mendapatkan data secara empiris mengenai hubungan kepribadian tangguh (hardiness) dengan stress kerja. Sejalan dengan landasan teori, maka diajukan hipotesis penelitian yang berbunyi terdapat hubungan negatif antara kepribadian tangguh (hardiness) dengan stres kerja. Artinya semakin tinggi kepribadian tangguh (hardiness), maka semakin rendah stres kerja. Penelitian ini melibatkan 32 anggota polisi bagian Reskrim dan Intelkam di Polsek Padang Tualang, Langkat sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument skala likert. Skala kepribadian tangguh (hardiness) disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek kepribadian tangguh (hardiness) menurut Kobasa yaitu komitmen, kontrol dan tantangan. Sedangkan skala stres kerja disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek stress kerja menurut Robbins , yaitu fisiologis, psikologis, dan perilaku. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Korelasi Product Moment yang kemudian diperoleh hasil dimana Artinya semakin tinggi kepribadian tangguh (hardiness), maka semakin rendah stres kerja yang selanjutnya hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan diterima. Kepribadian tangguh (hardiness) memberikan kontribusi terhadap stress kerja sebesar sebesar 33,0%. Serta secara umum anggota Polisi bagian Reserse dan Intelkam di Polsek Padang Tualang, Langkat diasumsikan mempunyai kepribadian tangguh (hardiness) yang tinggi, terlihat dari nilai mean empirik Hardiness adalah sebesar 70,63 lebih besar dari nilai mean hipotetik sebesar 62,5 dan Stres Kerja berada dalam golongan rendah, dimana nilai mean empiriknya adalah sebesar 64,19 lebih kecil dari nilai mean hipotetik sebesar 67,5 Kata kunci : Kepribadian tangguh (hardiness), Stres Kerja.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis research is quantitative research that aims to test and get the data empirically regarding the relationship between a formidable personality (hardiness) and work stress. Based on the theoretical framework, the researcher proposed a hypothesis that there is a negative relationship between the formidable personality (hardiness) and work stress. If the formidable personality (hardiness) is high, so the work stress is low. This study involved 32 policemen and Intelkam in Reskrim Section of Polsek Padang Tualang, Langkat as a subject of research. Sampling done by the technique of total sampling. This research uses a likertscale instrument. Formidable personality scale (hardiness) arranged by formidable personality aspects (hardiness) according to Kobasa i.e. commitment, control and challenge. Whereas work stress scale was compiled based on work stress aspects according to Robbins, i.e., physiological, psychological, and behavioral. Methods of data analysis used in this research was Correlation Product Moment Correlation which obtained the result that is where p = 0.001 p -0.05. This means that the higher of the formidable personality (hardiness), so work stress is lower then the hypothesis put forward was declared admissible. Formidable personality (hardiness) contributes to the work stress of 33.0%. In general, reserse section policemen and Intelkam at Polsek Padang Tualang, Langkat was assumed to have a the higer formidable personality (hardiness), seen from the value of the Hardiness empirical mean is of greater value to 70.63 mean hipotetik of 62.5 and work stress is in the low, where the value of empirical mean is of smaller value to 64.19 mean hipotetic of 67.5.
