Hubungan Kualitas Produk Dengan Keputusan Pembelian Handphone Andro Pada Mahasiswa Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between product quality with purchase decision of psychology student at Universitas Medan Area. The hypothesis is that there is a positive relationship between product quality and purchase decision . Assuming the higher the product quality the higher the purchase decision and the lower the product quality the lower the purchase decission. The method used in this research is quantitative research method by using Likert scale which consists of two scale namely product quality and purchase quality scale. The sample in this research is psychology student at University of Medan Area amounted to 60 people taken by using purposive sampling method. In an effort to prove hypothesis used method of data analysis that is product moment correlation. Based on analysis result obtained result that indicate there is a very significant negative relationship between product quality with purchase decison on the student. Meaning the higher the quality product the higher purchase decision. This result is proved by coefficient rxy= -0,365 ; p = 0,000 < 0,05 with n effective contribution of purchase decison is 0,133 or 13,3%
