Studi Identifikasi Faktor-Faktor Kepercayaan Diri Siswa di Pesantren Ar-Raudhatul Hasanah Medan

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research that aims to identify which factors influence students' self confidence in boarding Ar-Raudhatul Hasanah Medan. Confidence is one aspect of personality in the form of belief in one's ability to be influenced by others and can act according to the will, optimistic, tolerant, and responsible. The self confidence factors used in this research are self concept and self esteem factor, physical condition factor, failure factor and success, life experience factor, education factor, and family role factor. The number of samples used in this study as many as 133 students taken through random sampling technique of the population of 893 students. This research use likert scale instrument. Based on data analysis of percentage frequency, the factors that most influence student's self-confidence are physical condition and life experience factor with contribution of 0.905 and the lowest factor is failure and success factor with contribution of 0841. While factors other factors such as educational factors have contributed 0.889 ranks second, self concept factors and self esteem has contributed 0.886 ranks third, family environmental factors have contributed 0.856 ranks fourth. From the analysis result that all factors have an effect on to student's self confidence.
