Pengaruh Berbagai Media Tanam Terhadap Aklimatisasi Anggrek Dendrobium sp.

Abstract

The aim of this study to know the growth of orchid plants Dendrobium sp. on various media planting at acclimatization stage. carried out in a room located on the street Perkasa No. 36 A Medan Perjuangan District with a height of 20 meters above sea level (asl), with flat topography from November to January 2017. The design used is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) Non Factorial, with the treatment of various types of growing media, that is : M0 = sterile soil (control); M1 = Cocopeat; M2 = Charcoal; and M3 = Root of the Fern Each treatment was repeated 5 times. The parameters observed in this study were plant height, stem diameter, leaf number and leaf color chart. The results obtained from this study, that is treatment of various types of media have no significant effect on the growth of orchid plants Dendrobium sp. However, from the research results obtained that the media M1 (cocopeat) is a medium that provides the best effect for the growth of orchids Dendrobium sp.
