Hubungan antara Kontrol Diri dengan Kecerdasan Moral pada Siswa SMA Perguruan Buddhis Bodhicitta Medan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self control with moral intelligence in students at SMA Perguruan buddhis bodhicitta terrain. The population of this study are students in SMA Buddhis Bodhicitta Medan as many as 135 people. The sample of research is 100 people, the sample is taken by using random sampling technique. This study uses two scales of self control scale with moral intelligence. Data were collected using two psychological scales: self control scale (25 valid item, α = 0,861) and moral intelligence scale (40 valid items, α = 0,906 ). The results of this study show the correlation coefficient rxy 0,467 with p = 0.000 (p <0,050). The results show that the hypothesis proposed by the researcher is that there is a positive relationship between self control with acceptable moral intelligence. The value of positive correlation coefficient indicates that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is positive, meaning that the higher self control the higher the moral intelligence. Self control contributes 21,8% to moral intelligence and 78,2% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
