dc.descriptionPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi pengembangan karier dengan kinerja karyawan Politeknik LP3I Medan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah karyawan di 3 bidang yaitu bagian administrasi pendidikan bagian administrasi pemasaran dan administrasi penempatan kerja yang berjumlah 55 orang. Sampel penelitian menggunakan sistem sampel jenuh dimana jumlah populasi secara keseluruhan digunakan sebagai sampel pada penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu skala yaitu skala persepsi pengembangan karier. Sedangkan skala kinerja karyawan metode dokumentasi yang diambil di bagian HRD Politeknik LP3I Medan. Pada skala persepsi pengembangan karier terdiri dari 4 aspek yaitu tanggung jawab, status jabatan, wewenang, dan kompensasi dan skala kinerja karyawan adalah kuantitas kerja, kualitas kerja, kehadiran kerja dan ketepatan waktu kerja. Pengumpulan data menggunakan satu buah skala psikologi yaitu Skala Persepsi Pengembangan Karier (40 item dinyatakan valid dengan nilai r hitung > r tabel (0,3) dan keseluruhan item dinyatakan reliabel dengan nilai cronbach alpha sebesar 0,916). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan koefisien korelasi rxy 0,778 dengan p = 0,000 (p<0,01). Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti yaitu terdapat hubungan positif antara persepsi pengembangan karier dengan kinerja karyawan Politeknik LP3I Medan. Nilai koefisien korelasi positif menunjukkan bahwa arah hubungan kedua variabel adalah positif, artinya semakin positif persepsi pengembangan karier maka semakin baik pula kinerja karyawan Politeknik LP3I Medan. Persepsi pengembangan karier memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 60,6% pada kinerja karyawan Politeknik LP3I Medan dan sebesar 39,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to determine the correlation between career development perception and employee’s performance at Politeknik LP3I Medan. The population of this study were the employees from 3 division namely academic administrative, marketing administrative and work placement. There were 55 employees as the population. The sample of this study used saturated sample system where the number of population were totally used as sample of the study. This study used the scale of career development perception. However the scale of employee’s performance used documentation method taken from HRD of Politeknik LP3I Medan. On the scale of career development perspective, it had 4 aspect such as responsibility position status, authority and compensation and the scale of employee’s performance were work quantity, work quality, absence, and work timeline. The data were collected by a psychological scale. It was the scale of career development (40 items were valid with r count > r table (0.3) all items was reliable with the score cronbach alpha 0.916). The result of this study showed correlation coefficient rxy 0.778 with p =0.000 (p <0.01). The result showed that hypothesis proposed by the researcher that there was positive correlation between career development perception and employee’s performance of Politeknik LP3I Medan. The positive correlation coefficient score indicated that the direction of the correlation of thee two variable was positive. It means that the better perception of career development, yet better employee’s performance of Polytechnic Lp3i Medan. Career development perception made an effective contribution of 60.6 % on the employee’s performance of Politeknik LP3I Medan and 39.4% were affected by other factors which were not studied in this study.en_US
