Hubungan Konformitas dengan Motivasi Belajar Siswa di SMA Nusantara Lubuk Pakam

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of conformity with the motivation of learning in students in SMA Nusantara Lubuk Pakam. The population of this research is the second grade students in SMA Nusantara Lubuk Pakam as many as 236 people. Research sample counted 148 people, sample was taken by using random sampling technique. This study uses two psychological scales, namely learning motivation scale and conformity scale. The analysis technique is done using product moment correlation. The results of this study show the correlation coefficient rxy -0.498 with p = 0.000 (p <0,050), it means there is a negative relationship between conformity with learning motivation. With these results, the hypothesis in this research is that there is a negative relationship of conformity with learning motivation is acceptable. The value of negative correlation coefficient indicates that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is negative, meaning that the higher the conformity the lower the learning motivation. Conformity gives an effective contribution of 24.8% on learning motivation and by 75.2% influenced by other factors not examined in this study are internal factors such as physical factors, psychological and external factors such as other social factors and nonsocial factors. Empirical mean of learning motivation variable is 67,18 whereas mean empiric conformity variable equal to 119,84, then for mean hypothetical variable of learning motivation equal to 85 and mean hypothetical conformity variable equal to 92,5.
