Hubungan antara Locus of Control Internal dengan Kematangan Vokasional pada Siswa di SMKN 7 Medan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between internal locus of control with vocational maturity in students at smkn 7 terrain. The population of this study are students in SMKN 7 Medan as many as 115 people. The sample of research is 115 people, the sample is taken by using random sampling technique. This study uses two scales of internal locus of control scale with vocational maturity. Data were collected using two psychological scales: Vocational maturity scale (37 valid item, 0,888) and Internal locus of control scale (37 valid items, 0,845). The results of this study show the correlation coefficient rxy 0,562 with p = 0.000 (p <0,050). The results show that the hypothesis proposed by the researcher is that there is a positive relationship between internal locus of control with acceptable vocational maturity. The value of positive correlation coefficient indicates that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is positive, meaning that the higher internal locus of control the higher the vocational maturity. Internal locus of control contributes 31.6% to vocational maturity and 68.4 is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
