Abstract: This study aims to determine "The Effect of Work Ethics and Work Experience on Job Performance at Langkat District Legislative Office". The type of data in this study is associative is a study that is asking the relationship between two variables. The population in this study all employees at the office of Langkat district parliament which amounted to 55 people. Data collection techniques in the form of distributing questionnaires to all employees. The sample used in this study is all employees at the Langkat district parliament office. The result showed that work ethics simultaneously based on result of t test hence obtained t arithmetic> t table that is (3,497> 2,005) with significant value (0.001 <0.05) hence concluded that work ethics variable have positive and significant effect to work performance, based on t test it is obtained t arithmetic> t table that is (2,222> 2,005) with significant value (0.031 <0.05) it is concluded that the variable of work experience have a positive and significant impact on work performance and Based on the test F work ethics variable and work experience obtained F calculate> F table that is (46,569> 3,17) with significant value (0.000 <0.05) hence can be concluded that, work ethics variable and work experience, together have positive and significant effect to work performance. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination, it can be seen that the value of R Square obtained is 0.642. This means that 64.2% change in the dependent variable (achievement) is influenced by the independent variables of ethics and work experience. There are other variables that affect job performance by 35.8%.
