Hubungan Dukungan Sosial dengan Perilaku Agresif pada Remaja di SOS Children's Village Meulaboh

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach and aims to see the relationship of social support with aggressive behavior in adolescents in SOS Children's Village Meulaboh, where the subject in this study are adolescents who live in SOS Children's Village Meulaboh which amounted to 65 people. The hypothesis put forward in this study, "There is a negative relationship between social support and aggressive behavior in adolescents in SOS Children's Village Meulaboh". This research use likert scale and data analysis method used in this research is correlation - Product Moment, then obtained result where rxy = -0.685 with significant p = 0.000 < 0,050. Social support contributes to aggressive behavior of 46.9%. This indicates that there are still 53.1% influences from other factors not involved in this research, such as group influence, influence of self-perpetrator, school environment. The research results obtained from this research note that in general social support is low, it is based on calculations where the hypothetical average value (152.5) is greater than the empirical average value (107.03), and the difference is below SD / SB. While the level of aggressive behavior in adolescents in SOS Children's Village Meulaboh is high, this is based on calculations where the hypothetical average value (160) is smaller than the empirical average value (214.62) and the difference exceeds SD / SB. Thus, the hypothesis proposed in this study is declared acceptable.
