| Abstract: | Coping strategy is a process as the response to the stress that is happening and accompanied by an effort to change behavior to control the situation as a problem solution. The study aims to find out from two coping strategy forms, problem focused coping and emotion focused copping which are more widely used by newly married women in Limau Manis Village to face and response the problems in the household. The sample of this study is 30 people who consistent to criteria. The study uses quantitative method with a measure tools of coping strategy by giving a set of questions and statements are tested using validity, reliability and normality test. The data analysis technique used in the study is descriptive frequency analysis technique by describing the data has been collected. The result of this study shows that 27 out of 30 married women in Limau manis Village use problem focused coping. |
| Description: | Strategi coping merupakan suatu proses tertentu sebagai respon terhadap stres yang sedang terjadi dan disertai dengan suatu usaha dalam merubah perilaku untuk mengatur situasi sebagai bentuk penyelesaian masalah yang sedang dihadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tau dari dua bentuk strategi coping yaitu problem focused coping dan emotion focused coping yang lebih banyak digunakan oleh wanita yang baru menikah di Kelurahan Limau Manis dalam menghadapi dan merespon masalah yang sedang dihadapi dalam rumah tangga. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang yang memenuhi kriteria. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan alat ukur skala strategi coping dengan cara memberi seperangkat pertanyaan atau penyataan tertulis dan diuji dengan menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas serta normalitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis deskriptif frekuentif yaitu dengan cara mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan data yang sudah terkumpul. Secara umum hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 27 dari 30 orang wanita yang baru menikah di Kelurahan Limau Manis menggunakan problem focused coping. |
