Hubungan antara Efikasi Diri dengan Adversity Quotient pada Siswa Kelas XI MAN 3 Medan

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship of self-efficacy with adversity quotient in class XI MAN 3 Medan students. The sample in this study were class XI students who took part in scout extracurricular activities in MAN 3 Medan totaling 76 students. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. Data retrieval is done using two scales, namely the self-efficacy scale and the adversity quotient scale. Data analysis used correlation technique (rxy) of 0.585 with p = 0.000> 0.005, meaning that there was a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and adversity quotient in class XI MAN 3 Medan students, which showed that the higher the student's self-efficacy the higher the adversity quotient . Conversely, the lower the self-efficacy of students, the lower the adversity quotient. Self-efficacy in this study class XI MAN 3 Medan is relatively high because (the empirical mean = 101.41.> The hypothetical mean = 75 where the difference exceeds the SD number = 9,213). And adversity quotient is also high, because (empirical mean = 80.78.> Hypothetical mean = 65 where the difference exceeds SD number = 7.731). The coefficient of determination of the correlation is R2 = 0.343 meaning that self-efficacy contributes effectively to the adversity quotient of 34.3%. The results of this study fit the hypothesis with the results of research in the field.
