Abstract: This study used a quantitative descriptive approach that aims to analyze the factors of difficulties in learning Arabic language. Learning difficulties is a condition of students who can not learn maximally due to the obstacles or disruption in learning so as to cause achievement that is achieved under the right. The subjects of the study were the students the students of Grade VIII at MTsN 3 Deli Serdang who followed the remedial program of the lesson of Arabic in the 2017/2018 academic year, as many as 92 students. Sampling technique using total sampling. Factors analyzed were factors of learning strategy, attitude, motivation, anxiety and educational background. The scale of learning difficulty factors, arranged on the Guttman scale. Validity test yielded 67 valid items with a significance level of 0.01 and reliability coefficient of 0.968. The result of factor analysis describes descriptively that the learning difficulties of Arabic students of MTsN 3 Deli Serdang are in high category. The biggest percentage of learning difficulties factor is motivation factor that is 81,34%, learning strategy factor 80,23%. Student education background contribute 78,30%, attitude factor 77,79%, and anxiety factor equal to 71,09%.
Description: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor kesulitan belajar bahasa Arab. Kesulitan belajar adalah suatu kondisi siswa yang tidak dapat belajar secara maksimal disebabkan adanya hambatan atau gangguan dalam belajar sehingga menyebabkan prestasi yang dicapai berada di bawah semestinya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTsN 3 Deli Serdang yang mengikuti program remedial pelajaran bahasa Arab tahun pelajaran 2017/2018, sebanyak 92 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik total sampling. Faktor-faktor yang dianalisis adalah faktor strategi belajar, sikap, motivasi, kecemasan dan latar belakang pendidikan. Skala faktor-faktor kesulitan belajar, disusun berdasarkan skala Guttman. Uji validitas instrumen menghasilkan 67 aitem valid dengan taraf signifikansi 0,01 dan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,968. Hasil analisis faktor menggambarkan secara deskriptif bahwa kesulitan belajar bahasa Arab siswa MTsN 3 Deli Serdang berada pada kategori tinggi. Persentase faktor kesulitan belajar yang terbesar adalah faktor motivasi yaitu 81,34%, faktor strategi belajar sebesar 80,23%, latar belakang pendidikan berperan sebesar 78,30%, faktor sikap 77,79%, dan faktor kecemasan sebesar 71,09%.
