Hubungan antara Harga Diri dengan Perilaku Asertif pada Remaja Masjid Kecamatan Kampung Rakyat

Abstract

Research begins with a lack of assertive behavior in adolescents who join the mosque youth organization. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior in adolescent mosques in Kampung Rakyat district. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of correlational research. The population of this study were adolescent mosques in the sub-district of Kampung Rakyat which numbered 140 people. The sample of this study amounted to 100 people, taken using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used is a psychological scale in the form of self-esteem scale and assertive behavior scale. The reliability coefficient of self-esteem scale is 0.846 while the scale of assertive behavior is the reliability of 0.911. Data analysis techniques used are product moment correlation analysis. Hypothesis testing proves the relationship between self-esteem and assertive behavior with rxy = 0.577 with a significance of p = 0.000 <0.050. Effective contribution of self-esteem to assertive behavior is 33.3%. based on these results it can be concluded that the higher self-esteem the higher assertive behavior possessed by teenagers.
