| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | This study aims to find out and test empirically the relationship between self_esteem and pro social behavior in teenage mosque in denai sub-district. The number of samples in this study were 63 teenage mosque. With the hypothesis: There is a positive relationship between self_esteem and pro social behavior. This study was arranged based on the scale method likert by using a self-esteem scale consisting of aspects of self-esteem Coopersmith (1997) which consists of aspects of Strength, Meaning, Virtue, Ability. Furthermore, the pro social behavior scale is based on aspects of pro social behavior Eisenberg & Mussen (in Novira S, 2009) which includes: helping, sharing, cooperating, acting honestly, contributing, and paying attention to the rights and welfare of others. After data analysis, the results of the study were obtained: there was a positive relationship between self-esteem and pro social behavior, where rxy is 0.567 with P = 0.000 <0.010. This means that the higher self-esteem, the higher the pro social behavior. Based on these results, it means that the proposed hypothesis which states that there is a relationship between self-esteem and pro social behavior in adolescents is declared acceptable. The effective contribution of self-esteem variable to pro social behavior in adolescents is 32.2%. Based on this research, it can be seen that there are still 67.8% of the influence of other factors on pro social behavior that were not revealed in this study. | en_US |
